Jean François Porchez, one of the most prominent type designers and founder of Typofonderie held a two-day workshop in Zagreb. We couldn't pass up this rare opportunity so we sent Ana for a bit of professional development ;)
In two days of intense work they covered the transition of the letter form from the basic calligraphy pen move to shaping the final letter look with defined type style. Everyone started working with the lowercase serifs with attention to negative space, contrast, right proportion and endings in the letter. By defining the character of certain letters attendants were able to transform it to the whole alphabet and got to see the unique language a font reveals.

Good news! One of our favorite creative projects, Travelogue by Olga Najdanović, has been accepted in the Communication Arts Design Annual.
Founded in 1959, CA is the leading trade journal for visual communications. It's the largest creative magazine in the world and showcases the top work in graphic design, advertising, illustration, photography, interactive design and typography.

Naš novi gost bit će Igor Manasteriotti, iskusni dizajner vizualnih komunikacija, nagrađivani art direktor vlastitog studija Manasteriotti DS, te renomirani stručnjak u području dizajna identiteta i brendinga.
Dizajn dijaloge koordinira i vodi dizajner i likovni kritičar Bojan Krištofić, član CDSS tima. Kao stalni prodajni i izložbeni prostor namijenjen proizvodima i konceptima isključivo domaćih dizajnera, CDSS je već napravio značajne korake prema okupljanju i umrežavanju dizajnera i tržišnom plasmanu njihovog rada, a sada publika dobiva priliku da kroz neposredno druženje upozna autorice i autore koji stoje iza izvrsnog dizajna. Igor was a member of jury at a student branding competition organized by INA. Over a period of four weeks students were asked to prepare market research, ending with a redesign of the INA Careers logotype. Through the process, finalists were selected, given feedback and asked to improve the proposals before the final, live presentation.
