As most of you know, Mia and I joined forces about five years ago — a natural progression for two designers leaving the big agency in the midst of world crisis. This turned out to be a great decision, which allowed us to find out what we’re made of as designers, businesspeople and partners. While I was fully dedicated to developing as an identity and packaging designer, M∞M was Mia’s chance to make her fashion design ambitions a reality. Soon CLOX was born — a patented brand of shoes with functional clocks.
What began as our side business soon grew to be a serious commitment, with substantial financial and time-related obligations. As years went on, CLOX fashion brand has grown into a serious investment which now requires full and undivided attention if it’s to flourish. We expected this, spent months discussing the options and preparing for the next phase of our future. So, Mia decided to leave our graphic design partnership and give more focus to her "passion with fashion" :) We both feel this is a right decision because CLOX is too special to let slip away. Naturally, my ambitions have developed as well, with plans to expand the studio in the later part of 2016. Manasteriotti∞Marić will be missed, but we feel lucky and excited to be able to shape our lives the way we feel is right.
So, in the following weeks this page will change name to Manasteriotti DS, and will continue to showcase the visual branding projects under my art direction. If you haven’t already, we invite you to follow Mia and her creations at her popular CLOX page. For the remainder of this year she'll be finishing up any ongoing M∞M projects, and may be involved in future graphic design projects if time permits.
We'll of course continue to help each other, as well as share our studio and lives together as before :)
